OK, how does it work?

Inspired by the popular Miami Spice program, Taste the Keys is a month-long culinary celebration running October 1–31. Locals and visitors alike are invited to enjoy creative cuisine at a special value, with specially crafted menus available at participating restaurants throughout the Upper Keys.

All participating restaurants are listed under the “Locations” section, making it easy to plan your dining experiences.

Adding to the excitement, the Taste the Keys Trolley Tour is officially confirmed—complete with set stops and curated tasting menus at each featured restaurant. This one-of-a-kind culinary journey brings the community together to celebrate the flavors of the Keys.

The Taste the Keys Food Tour Experience

Prix-Fixe Dining

Participating restaurants will feature specially priced prix-fixe menus for both lunch and dinner (or available all day!) It’s the perfect way to experience the Keys’ top chefs, signature dishes, and unique dining experiences—all while supporting local restaurants during the slower fall season.

The Signature Dish Showdown

Adding a competitive twist, each restaurant will nominate one standout dish from their menu for the Signature Dish Showdown. Diners sample these featured plates throughout October and then submit their vote for the Best Dish in the Keys.

Trolley Foodie Tours

For those who want a guided adventure, join one of our two Trolley Foodie Tours. These ticketed events offer a progressive dining experience where guests hop aboard a trolley and enjoy small plates and paired drinks at multiple restaurants in one night.

The Taste the Keys Foodie Tour is a relaxed, flavor-packed evening perfect for couples, friends, and food lovers. The tour runs from 5:00 to 9:30 PM, so enjoy an evening of dining, sipping, and exploring! Hop aboard the trolley and visit multiple Key Largo restaurants in one night, enjoying a light bite and drink at each stop before heading to the next. How much do the Taste the Keys menus cost?

Prix-fixe menus range from $17 to $75 per person, plus tax and gratuity, depending on the restaurant and whether it is lunch or dinner. Each restaurant's page on this site lists its exact menu and price.

Do I need a ticket for the restaurant menus?

Tickets are only needed for the Trolley Foodie Tours. The prix-fixe menus are offered at each participating restaurant during October; check each restaurant page for its menu, hours and conditions.

What is the Taste the Keys Trolley Foodie Tour?

A guided evening trolley tour of four Key Largo restaurants with a tasting and a drink at each stop. Tours run Thursday, October 15 and Thursday, October 29, from 5:00 to 9:30 PM. Tickets are $150 per person ($125 for Chamber members), ages 21 and older.

How do I vote in the Signature Dish Showdown?

Each restaurant nominates one signature dish, marked with a star on its menu. Try them during October, then vote online using the ballot on the Signature Dish Showdown page. Winners are announced in early November.

What is the trolley tour cancellation policy?

Unfortunately, no refunds can be issued for cancellations. All sales are final.

What if there is bad weather on a trolley tour night?

Safety is our top priority. If a severe storm forces a cancellation, the trolley tour will be rescheduled.

I have food allergies. What do I do?

We recommend reviewing the menu, or the trolley tour tastings, before you go or buy a ticket, and telling your server about any allergies.
